Studies carried out by 3D EAU

3D EAU is a consultancy specialising in fluid mechanics, 3D modelling and artificial intelligence applied to the fields of wastewater and drinking water. It offers a range of studies applied to the field of hydraulics, covering the design, diagnosis and instrumentation of water management facilities.

3D EAU recommends sustainable and effective solutions for wastewater and drinking water, and guarantees that they comply with the legislation and standards laid down by the Water Agencies.

What studies does 3D EAU carry out?

Validation of the design of simple or complex hydraulic structures

conception et diagnostic d'ouvrages hydraulique

3D EAU’s validation of hydraulic structures offers a host of benefits. Not only does it ensure that your installations comply with current standards, it also guarantees their efficiency and durability. Our technical expertise enables us to identify and resolve potential problems, saving you time and money in the long term.

For exemple, 3D EAU can :

Self-monitoring compliance for wastewater systems

The decree of 21 July 2015 (amended by the decree of 31/07/2020) requires local authorities to set up a self-monitoring system in collective wastewater systems and to instrument combined sewer overflows, so as to measure the flows discharged into the receiving environment.

3D modelling applied to hydraulics makes it possible to bring sewerage networks and storm overflows into compliance without significantly modifying their configuration.

The flow rate discharged into the receiving environment can thus be assessed :

  • More accurate: validation of sensor location, digital calibration of head/discharge laws and assessment of associated uncertainty
  • More economical: little work and use of non-contact height sensors
  • More operational: height measurement is easy to control.

Permanent diagnostics of public sewerage networks

Diagnostic permanent

Permanent diagnostics are essential for monitoring and diagnosing the operation of sewerage networks on a daily basis, using measurement points.

3D EAU’s expertise in hydraulic analysis makes it possible to position these network measurement points judiciously and to determine the measurement technique best suited to the issues at stake, in order to assess the flows in transit more accurately:

  • More accurate: validation of sensor location, digital calibration of head-discharge relationship and assessment of associated uncertainty
  • More economical: little work and use of non-contact height sensors
  • More operational: height measurement is easy to control.
